The King in Black, Knull, is mounting his terrifying return, and Marvel is celebrating with a massive wave of dark new art.
After making his long-awaited comeback in VENOM #250 last month, the terrifying God of Symbiotes is set to headline his very first solo series, KNULL, this January. This is all leading up to next year’s massive symbiote event, QUEEN IN BLACK!
To mark the occasion, Marvel is unleashing 20 new Knullified Variant Covers this December. These stunning pieces, drawn by today’s top artists, will twist your favorite Marvel heroes into horrifying, symbiote-corrupted versions of the King in Black himself.
The God of Symbiotes Returns
Knull first exploded onto the scene during the legendary run by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman, quickly becoming one of the most iconic supervillains of the past decade. It took the combined strength of all of Earth’s mightiest heroes to finally stop him and his symbiote army in the 2020 crossover, KING IN BLACK.
Now, he’s back and ready to reclaim his throne. The new five-issue limited series, KNULL, will follow his destructive path as he attempts to gather new power. But his first obstacle? Taking his seat back from a startling new usurper: Hela, the newly proclaimed QUEEN IN BLACK!
The series is in the hands of a fantastic creative team: current VENOM scribe Al Ewing, rising star writer Tom Waltz (Wolverine: Blood Hunt), and symbiote art superstar Juanan Ramirez (EDDIE BROCK: CARNAGE).
