Marvel Comics just announced a major collision for two of its most violent street-level antiheroes. The upcoming four-part crossover event, titled “Big Guns,” will bring Wade Wilson and Frank Castle into a direct, bloody conflict. Writing duties for the entire event fall to Benjamin Percy, who currently handles the solo titles for both characters.
The crossover officially launches in September 2026. It marks a significant milestone for the current ongoing volumes, Wade Wilson: Deadpool and Punisher.

What to Expect From the “Big Guns” Storyline
Benjamin Percy is orchestrating the crossover to capitalize on the contrasting personalities of Marvel’s premier mercenary and its ultimate vigilante. Artists Geoff Shaw and José Luis Soares are providing the interior pencils for the event. Shaw handles the Deadpool chapters, while Soares handles the Punisher installments. Josemaria Casanovas has also crafted connecting variant covers for the kickoff issues to celebrate the announcement, which coincided with Marvel’s “616 Day” marketing event.

TARGET: WADE WILSON! As the spectacle of the summer rolls on, Frank Castle finds himself at odds with the Regeneratin’ Degenerate, Deadpool! But not all is as it seems, as a mysterious interloper seems to be manipulating circumstances and people alike, setting the duo on a collision course with calamity!
The trouble starts when Deadpool accepts a high-stakes contract that directly interferes with Frank Castle’s ongoing mission. According to Percy, the story introduces a major new weapon into the Marvel Universe alongside a complete redesign for a classic, yet unnamed, Marvel villain.
Deadpool is also getting a brand-new rolling headquarters called the “Merc-mobile.” The narrative forces both characters into a meat-grinder scenario where a mysterious third party is pulling the strings, manipulating the two killers into trying to eliminate each other.
