This October, Marvel Comics is bringing two incredible worlds together to celebrate the release of the new movie, TRON: Ares. A new series of TRON: Ares Variant Covers will reimagine some of Marvel’s most famous heroes in the distinctive, neon-lit style of the TRON universe.
This marks the second collaboration between Marvel and TRON, with the first being a popular collection created for the 2010 movie TRON: Legacy. In this new series, legendary characters like Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Spider-Man are digitized and enter the Grid, becoming super-powered “Programs” ready to race Lightcycles and fight for the Users.
Drawn by some of the industry’s top artists, these covers showcase new light suit designs inspired by Ares, the new film’s titular character. Keep an eye out for these special covers on 10 different comics releasing throughout October!
