The balance of power in the symbiote corner of the Marvel Universe has flipped! In the landmark VENOM #250, released yesterday, Hela has made a massive power play, declaring herself the Queen in Black after seizing Knull’s throne.
Writers Al Ewing and Charles Soule, along with artists Terry Dodson, Carlos Gomez, and Todd Nauck, delivered a shocking milestone that saw the former King in Black return, only to be immediately revealed as Hela’s helpless prisoner. It’s a major shake-up that sets the stage for a dark conflict and a major Marvel storyline brewing for next year!
If you’re worried about Knull staying on the sidelines, fear not. The God of the Void won’t be caged for long!
Despite being weakened and trapped by his unexpected new enemy, Knull is planning his comeback. His escape and quest to reclaim his title will be chronicled in the upcoming five-issue limited series, KNULL (2026), launching this January.
- KNULL #1 (OF 5) is written by Al Ewing and Tom Waltz with art by Juanan Ramirez and hits shelves on 1/14.
