Marvel fans at NYCC 2025 got a terrifying first look at what comes after the earth-shattering events of ‘One World Under Doom’ with the announcement of ‘Dungeons of Doom.’ This three-issue limited series will plunge a new group of characters into the horrifying remnants of Latveria’s ruler.
Spinning directly out of the events of ‘One World Under Doom,’ ‘Dungeons of Doom’ is a three-issue saga launching in January 2026.
Following Doom’s presumed defeat, his castle is left empty and masterless, triggering a frenzied arms race as global superpowers rush in to claim his unmatched technology and power. Their desperate scramble, however, sends them “plummeting into a dungeon labyrinth that none of them knew was there,” turning a geopolitical grab into a desperate game of survival. The series asks a chilling question: “Who, if any, will survive? And what horrors lie within the DUNGEONS OF DOOM?”
The all-star creative team includes:
- Writers: Phillip Kennedy Johnson (Incredible Hulk) and Benjamin Percy (Red Hulk)
- Artists: Carlos Magno, Robert Gill, Justin Mason, and Georges Jeanty
- Cover Artist: Leinil Francis Yu
Co-writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson offered insight into the book’s chilling premise, highlighting the collaborative horror angle with fellow writer Ben Percy.
“Ben Percy is a kindred spirit, and we both love horror books,” shared Johnson. “Without spoiling the events that lead up to this series, there’s going to be a big conflict in Latveria, and all these factions end up in a place they didn’t ever know was there. It gives us a setup for a horror anthology in the Marvel Universe, where we’ll see various factions of the Marvel Universe opening these doors and finding these horrors that Doom has been keeping hidden.”
The warning is clear: even in his absence, Doom leaves nothing unattended, especially his greatest secrets. Dungeons of Doom #1 hits shelves on January 14th.
