The man who defines street-level justice is officially back. Frank Castle is reloading with a brand-new ongoing comic book series, simply titled Punisher, set to launch in February 2026!

Announced by Marvel Comics Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski at the Lucca Comics & Games festival, the new title will be spearheaded by celebrated writer Benjamin Percy and artist José Luis Soares (with inks by Oren Junior).

This highly anticipated series serves as the direct continuation of Percy’s explosive work on PUNISHER: RED BAND #1.

“Get ready. This is gonna hurt.”

Still reeling from the events of the Red Band series, the new Punisher run finds Frank Castle struggling with damaged memories while maintaining his relentless, uncompromising war on crime.

But he’s about to get more than he bargained for when one of Marvel’s most terrifying super villains returns: the notorious and bloodthirsty Jigsaw! The scarred maniac is ready to capitalize on Frank’s weakened state, setting the stage for a brutal new confrontation.

Writer Benjamin Percy made it clear this new series is not pulling any punches. He explained that after the “biohazard, dripping with blood” intensity of RED BAND, the ongoing series will be a next-level, uncompromising experience.

“The book was polybagged because it was a biohazard, dripping with blood. Now that you know we aren’t fooling around, we’re entering a new phase of storytelling that will serve both as a continuation of Red Band and a fresh start for new readers.”

Percy praised artist José Luis Soares for bringing the necessary grit, scars, and shadow to Frank’s broken worldview. And who better to pick up the broken pieces of Frank’s life than Jigsaw himself?

Punisher #1 (with a cover by David Marquez) hits shelves on February 25, 2026.
