Mark your calendars for February 2026 because that’s when Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, a four-issue limited series, slices its way onto shelves. This isn’t just a side story; it’s the crucial lead-in to next summer’s massive ARMAGEDDON event!
Superstar writer Chip Zdarsky (you know him from Daredevil and Captain America) is teaming up with dynamic artist Luca Maresca (Superior Avengers) to deliver a pulse-pounding start. Zdarsky isn’t holding back, explaining, “The Road to ARMAGEDDON starts with super soldiers, starts with the Weapon X program. And Wolverine is going to kick off the end of everything.” Talk about high stakes!
Logan’s Traumatic Hunt
The series throws Logan right back into the trauma he knows best: Weapon X. When an old acquaintance pulls Wolverine into the search for an abducted mutant, they quickly discover the horrifying methods of the defunct program are not only “alive and well” but have been outsourced.
Logan finds himself in a deadly race against a super-soldier-creating corporation called PRIMEWARRIOR. And if that wasn’t bad enough, they’ve hired a very familiar face: the fully armed and upgraded NUKE! It sounds like Logan will be following the “scent of the feral Tyler – and the scent of his own trauma” in a mission that leads him to a mysterious power that could truly change everything.

We’ve been seeing hints of ARMAGEDDON in Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti’s CAPTAIN AMERICA (2025), as well as in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN: INCURSION and its aftermath in MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN. But WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON is where the fuse is truly lit.
Zdarsky calls it essential reading: “For readers of CAPTAIN AMERICA (2025), this is essential!
