The groundbreaking era of Marvel’s new Ultimate Universe is officially drawing to a close. This April, the saga that redefined the Marvel mythos for a new generation concludes with Ultimate Universe Finale #1, a star-studded one-shot that serves as the final curtain call for this two-year storytelling experiment.
The “beginning of the end” kicked off with Ultimate Endgame #1, a five-part event series helmed by Deniz Camp, Jonas Scharf, and Terry Dodson. This April, that journey reaches its destination with the final issues of several heavy-hitting titles:
- Ultimate Universe Finale #1: A special one-shot featuring the entire roster of Ultimate creators.
- Ultimate Wolverine #16: The conclusion of Chris Condon and Alessandro Cappuccio’s feral run.
- Ultimates #24: Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri wrap up the team’s mission.
- Ultimate Endgame #5: The final chapter of the event series.
Leading up to this April finale, fan-favorite titles like Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Black Panther, and Ultimate X-Men will also be reaching their respective conclusions in the preceding months.
What made this iteration of the Ultimate Universe so unique was its commitment to real-time storytelling. Over the last two years, fans watched this world evolve month by month. By the time the final issues hit stands this April, the Earth-6160 saga will stand as a complete, interconnected masterpiece, designed to be read as one continuous epic from start to finish.
