The Ultimate Universe might be reaching its end, but its fingerprints are being permanently pressed into the core Marvel 616 timeline. This May, writer Chris Condon (Ultimate Wolverine) and artist Stefano Caselli (Ultimate Black Panther) team up for Reborn: Ultimate Impact, a five-issue limited series that explores the explosive aftermath of the Ultimate Endgame event.

The series picks up the threads from the Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion fallout. While the Ultimate Universe collided with the 616, Miles Morales managed to return home with a heavy burden: the Origin Boxes. These devices, originally designed by The Maker to manipulate heroic destinies, contain the raw data and power sets of the Ultimate Universe’s greatest heroes and villains.

Miles’s mission was to keep these catalysts safe, but as seen in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #42, the secret is out. Shadowy forces are now hunting the boxes, leading to a scramble that will scatter these “hero-makers” across the Marvel Universe. This won’t just introduce new faces to the 616; it’s a direct prelude to the massive Armageddon event and the upcoming Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon.

From the Creative Team

Writer Chris Condon is leaning into the cosmic weight of two worlds merging. Regarding the project, he stated:

“I am so excited to be a part of this book and to be working with this fantastic team. To be able to play with the idea of these universes colliding in a truly unique and interesting way like this, and to have the opportunity to create new and lasting creations within them – both characters and settings – is a dream for any creator in this industry. I’m having so much fun working on this book with artist Stefano Caselli and Editor Tom Groneman. I hope that shines through when readers pick up their copies of what I think will be an exciting new piece of the Marvel Universe.”
