In exciting news for comic fans, DC Black Label is launching a new four-issue miniseries this November, bringing together three of its most iconic heroes: Batman, Green Arrow, and the Question. Titled Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia, the series promises a gritty, suspense-filled narrative from writer and artist Gabriel Hardman, with colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr. and lettering by Simon Bowland.
The series, which kicks off on November 26, 2025, plunges these three vigilantes into a world grappling with climate crisis and class warfare. The story centers on a seemingly utopian floating city called Arcadia, built off the coast of Greenland as a solution to climate change. But when Green Arrow and the Question start to dig, they uncover a dark conspiracy beneath its shiny exterior, forcing Batman to confront uncomfortable truths about a project he’s initially involved with.
Inspired by 1980s thrillers, Hardman’s vision is a modern noir that tackles 21st-century challenges. The series follows multiple intertwined storylines: The Question goes undercover to investigate human trafficking, Green Arrow discovers his former company may be linked to the Arcadia project, and Batman questions the true motives behind the floating city. These heroes, with their clashing philosophies, will find that their internal conflicts might be as dangerous as the external enemies they face.
Hardman describes the project as a “dream come true,” noting that he’s building on the legacy of creators like Denny O’Neil and Denys Cowan while offering a fresh, forward-looking take on these characters. This psychological thriller promises sharp dialogue, moody visuals, and a deep dive into questions of justice and power.
Issue #1 will be available with a main cover by Hardman and variants from Kevin Nowlan and the legendary team of Denys Cowan & Bill Sienkiewicz. The series is labeled for mature readers and will be priced at $5.99 for the standard edition. A hardcover collection of the entire miniseries is slated for release on June 16, 2026.
