As part of its “Summer of Superman” initiative, DC Comics has announced a unique, oversized comic book special: Superman Treasury 2025: Hero for All, scheduled for release on July 2nd, 2025.
This one-shot revives the classic “Treasury Edition” tabloid format (10 1/8″ x 13 5/16″), offering a larger canvas for a brand-new story. The creative team features celebrated writer Dan Jurgens and acclaimed artist Bruno Redondo, with colors by Adriano Lucas.
Jurgens, known for his extensive work on Superman, expressed nostalgia for the historical significance of Treasury Editions, citing classics like Superman vs. Shazam and Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man. He stated this project seeks to deliver a “grand story that is wide in scope, action and visual drama.” Redondo highlighted the unique opportunity, noting it’s DC’s first original Treasury Edition comic in over two decades.
The plot involves Superman defending Earth against a devastating alien invasion that poses threats both externally and internally. The story aims to explore themes of power, tragedy, action, and hope on an epic scale.

Superman Treasury 2025: Hero for All will feature a main cover by Redondo, along with variant covers by Jurgens and Scott Koblish, and a movie-themed photo variant. The issue will also contain images and information related to the forthcoming Superman feature film from DC Studios.
