DC Comics First Big Crossover Event ‘We Are Yesterday’ Kicks Off 2025 with a Bang!

March 3, 2025

DC’s “All In” initiative unleashes its first major crossover, We Are Yesterday. This six-part epic, spearheaded by Mark Waid, spans Batman/Superman: World’s Finest, Justice League Unlimited, and the Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual, with a team of co-writers and artists contributing to the grand event.

The first chapter debuts on April 16th in Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38, pitting Gorilla Grodd against Superman and Batman. Grodd’s psychic abilities seemingly give him glimpses into the future, and he may even hold clues to Darkseid’s death!

The second part of the crossover event unfolds in Justice League Unlimited #6, written by Mark Waid with art by Travis Moore. As the mystery of the Inferno Cult deepens, the League faces a terrifying revelation: the cult’s ranks include some of their most formidable foes, from Lex Luthor and The Joker to Cheetah.

Batman and his allies pose confidently against a vibrant red background, showcasing their unity and strength.

Part three arrives on April 30th with Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual. Written by Mark Waid, Christopher Cantwell, and Morgan Hampton, with art by Dan McDaid and Clayton Henry, this issue reveals the secret origins of DC’s premier supervillain team and marks the World’s Finest debut of Green Lantern John Stewart.

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38 hits shelves on April 16th, followed by Justice League Unlimited #6 on April 23rd. Rounding out the month, the Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual arrives on April 30th.

This crossover event promises to be an exciting expansion of the narratives unfolding in both Batman/Superman: World’s Finest and Justice League Unlimited, especially with Mark Waid at the helm of both titles! The “Inferno” storyline in Justice League Unlimited has been a slow burn. With that said, I am thrilled at the prospect of this event propelling us further into DC’s ambitious “All-In” initiative.
