DC has officially pulled back the curtain on its next major international endeavor: Supergirl: The World. Following the trail blazed by the critically acclaimed Batman: The World and Joker: The World, this 184-page prestige hardcover anthology is set to arrive June 2, 2026. DC is also executing a massive “day-and-date” global release, ensuring fans from Helsinki to Yaoundé can pick up their local edition simultaneously.
The project brings together writers and artists from 15 different countries to tell original stories rooted in their own cultures and landscapes. From the United States to Cameroon and Japan, the collection aims to show how the “Maiden of Might” resonates with fans across every border.
“Supergirl, the last daughter of Krypton, has found her adoptive world daunting at times, struggling to find her place in it,” reads the official description. “So what better way to learn about her new home than to travel the globe and discover its many wonders—and save some lives in the process, of course! Behold the Maiden of Might as 15 countries tell tales that highlight what makes Supergirl one of the most inspiring and powerful DC Superheroes of all.”

A World-Class Creative Roster
The anthology serves as a “who’s who” of international comic excellence. While the United States segment features the powerhouse trio of writer Mariko Tamaki, artist Skylar Patridge, and cover artist Joëlle Jones, the rest of the world offers equally compelling visions:
- Europe: Heavy hitters include Aneke (Spain), Yann Krehl & Marie Sann (Germany), and Francesca Michielin & Federica Croci (Italy).
- The Americas: Vibrant contributions come from Fernanda Chiella (Brazil), Mariana Moreno (Mexico), Tomás Wortley & Rocío Zucchi (Argentina), and Sara Rodríguez (Colombia).
- Asia & Africa: Exploring new frontiers with Satoshi Miyagawa & Kai Kitago (Japan) and a landmark entry from Cameroon by Njoka Suyru, Coeurtys Ulrich Minko, and Ejob Nathanael Ejob.
Publication and Distribution
To achieve this global “mosaic,” DC is partnering with a network of international publishers. Panini will handle the bulk of European and Latin American distribution (Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico), while Zebra Comics brings the Maiden of Might to Cameroon. Other partners include Urban Comics (France), Story House Egmont (Poland/Finland), Čarobna Knjiga (Serbia), and JBC (Turkey).
Priced at $24.99 US, the hardcover is designed to be a definitive collector’s item, celebrating Supergirl not just as a hero of the stars, but as a hero of the Earth.
