DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 COVERS Revealed: Now with 100% More Scorpion

Just when we thought the DC K.O. tournament couldn’t get any wilder, DC throws a curveball that feels straight out of a video game cheat code. DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 is shaping up to be a full-on collision of franchises that we didn’t see coming.

The premise is desperate. The remaining champions in the tournament have hit a wall—literally. They’ve discovered there isn’t enough Omega energy left to crown a true “King Omega” capable of stopping Darkseid.

So, what’s the solution? Apparently, it’s to look outside the DC Universe for a power boost. And judging by the cover art we just saw, they looked everywhere.

The Roster: It’s Not Just Homelander

The initial solicits mentioned Homelander, Sub-Zero, and Annabelle, but the newly revealed cover art confirms this is a much massive crossover event. We are looking at a “Boss Battle” lineup that includes:

  • Mortal Kombat Legends: It’s not just the icy Sub-Zero, but his hellfire rival Scorpion is right there with him.
  • The Magical Trio: The cover clearly shows Vampirella, Red Sonja, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, bringing a sword-and-sorcery, magic (and vampire) edge to the multiversal chaos.
  • The Wild Cards: We see The Joker (who seems thrilled to be there), Plastic Man looming large, and… Samantha Strong? (Yes, there is literally a killer bear involved).

It creates a surreal vibe where DC’s heavy hitters like Superman and Wonder Woman have to survive against pop culture icons from completely different genres. Seeing Wonder Woman potentially trade blows with Red Sonja, or Superman staring down Homelander, is the kind of fan-service madness that makes huge crossover events worth the cover price.

DC K.O. Boss Battle #1 is all “Fun Factor

If you’ve been following the event, this is the turning point. It sets the stage for the final chapters, but more importantly, it delivers on the “fun factor.” The stakes are high (stopping Darkseid), but the execution is pure entertainment. The ultimate battle is just starting, but this issue proves all bets (and all licensing restrictions) are off.

DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 hits the shelf on February 6, 2026.
