We know a great comic is more than just a cool script and sharp pencils. It’s a team effort. That’s why we make a point to shout out the folks who usually work in the shadows: the colorists and letterers who actually breathe life into the pages.

How we review: We go with our gut feeling. We aren’t just here to summarize the plot; we’re here to tell you how the story made us feel. To keep it simple, we use the KPB Impact Meter:

  • SPLAT: Yeah… this wasn’t it.

  • ZAP: It’s okay, but it’s missing that “spark.”

  • WHAM: A rock-solid read. Grab it.

  • KABOOM: The gold standard. Everything just clicked!
